Ok here's the third Swatch of the week. Or month. Whatever. Lets go for
Time To Move.
You can perhaps make out the words In our hands. Earth summit '92 around the face and an overlaid image of the Earth summit logo on the face. The back of the watch has an overlay of a globe on a clear background giving a superb view of the internal workings.
Time to Move is the name given to this Swatch in reflection of the fact that time could be running out for our little planet we call home. Leaders from around the world gathered to discuss the needs of tomorrows children in Rio Brazil in 1992. That was when the "Earth Pledge" was agreed. It is as follows.
Recognising that people's actions towards nature and each other are the source of growing damage to the environment and resoursces needed to meet human needs and to ensure survival and development. I PLEDGE to act to the best of my ability to help make the earth a secure and hospitable home for present and future generations.
Fine words. Lets hope there is a ring of truth to them.
